Shaun, Susan, Jacob and I drove to California from Las Vegas on Sunday and after a long drive, we arrived at the campsite at dark. Here is a video of Jacob when we were only twenty minutes away from the camp. So funny! Poor guy was sooo tired but couldn't sleep.We hit the beach bright and early Monday morning (hence the lack of makeup on my part). Jacob loved the sand and water. He wanted to be able to walk on his own so badly, but needed some help. Grandma Susan and Aunt Michelle helped him get down to the water and see and feel the ocean water for the first time.
We spent a lot of quality family time together.
Shaun, even though he was feeling under-the-weather, decided to try his hand at surfing. The water was waaaay to cold for me, as you can tell by the wet suits.
Shaun, Jacob and I went to Dana Point to check out the harbor and have some lunch one day. I had their yummy clam chowder and Jacob was loving their all-natural oyster crackers.
The last night we were there, we all had a shot of Jaegar for Phil and floated his flowers into the ocean. It was a touching sentiment and the family is talking about doing it every year for him.
