Our little boy is growing up so fast. This month he has really started talking to us and we are working on getting him to tell us when he has to go potty and teaching him his colors. He is a fun-loving kid and laughs at everything, including Charlee. He thinks the dog is hilarious for some reason.
He is in the middle of a "choo choo" train fetish right now. Ever since we have come home from our trip, he has played with his two little trains every day. He just puts the cars together and brings them all around the house running them on the floor, the table, my leg, the stairs, his slide, whatever he can to move them and he says "choo". So cute. I think Shaun and I have decided that we are going to make his big boy room a Train Room. I saw a train table on target.com and almost bought it for him, but I think I'll wait until his birthday. He won't be moving into his big boy bed until after the new year anyway, so we have some time to plan the details. We figure the new baby will be in our room for at least 5 months, so we are going to keep Jacob in his crib as long as we can to make sure he sleeps good at night.
My favorite thing right now is Jacob says "yes". It has helped so much that he can tell me what he wants if I ask him. He hasn't picked up on the word "no" yet, so no one fill him in on that one, ok!
