Family Time in Indiana

We flew into Indianapolis on Wednesday night and stayed at the hotel there, then drove up to Crawfordsville on Thursday and stayed until Sunday afternoon.  It was a quick weekend, but it was really fun and we got to see almost everybody in that short time.  We didn't pay for a seat on the plane for Jacob, but he was able to get one on the flight there, just not on the flight home.  He did pretty well on both flights although the first take off seemed to scare him.

On Thursday afternoon, we drove up to the farm and Shaun got the tour of the house and barns.  Jacob had fun exploring the farm too.

   

Then, we went to Arni's pizza to get lunch and see a few family members. (It was the place my Dad took my Mom on their first date.)

And that night we went to my Uncle Shane's house and hung out there.  His boys were busy swimming in the pool and Jacob wanted to get in, but we didn't bring his suit.

On Friday, Ethan, my Mom, and Dad came over to the hotel to swim with us before we had to get ready to go to the Family Party in Lafayette.

Family Party in Lafayette - Erin and Bobby drove in on Friday afternoon and were there too.

They also had a cool pond outside with ducks to feed, a ton of playgrounds close by and a live band played in the park pretty close to the pavillion we rented.

 

 

And you know, where there is music, there will be a dancing Jacob...

On Saturday, we had a family get-together at the Farm with BBQ hot dogs, hamburgers, clay pigeon shooting, horseshoes, a hayride to a pond to fish, and some tractor driving.

 

We left the farm around 8:30pm and Jacob was out within minutes, since he had skipped his nap.

Then on Sunday, we woke up and said goodbye to my family since they were driving back to NY. Then we went back to Lafayette to Columbian Park because we had promised Jacob he could ride the train and it was closed when we went to do it on Friday night.  They have a waterpark there, a train ride, a free zoo, and a ton of playgrounds and ponds with ducks.  Jacob got to see all kinds of animals at the zoo.  We think his favorite was the otters because we went to the gift shop afterwards and that's what he wanted, a stuffed otter. So cute.  He was so good on the train ride too.  He waved at everyone and kept saying Choo Choo!

When we got to our hotel in Indianapolis, we hung out at the pool and went to bed early since we were all sooo exhausted.  Chasing the little guy around wore both Shaun and me out. =)
