~Nine Months Old~

Jacob just turned nine months old and he had a doctor's appt. on Tuesday. His stats are:
almost 18 lbs., 28 inches tall, in the 7th percentile for head size and no teeth yet
I guess since Shaun and I have smaller heads, he is going to keep his cute head shape. =)
He had to get two shots that day and he did run a slight fever the next day. It was nothing a little baby tylenol couldn't fix. He slept a lot too, but now he's back to normal. I asked the pediatrician about food and he said I could start letting Jacob have cheerios and small snacks like that that dissolve easily. So, Jacob is just starting to get the hang of eating them and is learning to pick them up still. Charlee loves when I put Jacob in his high chair now. He sits and waits for food to drop. I have a feeling Charlee loves cheerios too.

Jacob is eating very well and getting used to a sippy cup now. I just have to try to get him to take a bottle again. He has gotten used to nursing to the point where it's very hard for me to get him to take a bottle. This is something I'm going to work on so his transition from breast to bottle isn't so hard on him...whenever that happens.
He is getting very good at crawling. At this point he will pull up to his knees but can't figure out how to move once he gets there. I'm sure he will get it very soon. He loves to play hide and seek. I will hide from him and he will come to where I am in the walker and find me. He also does high-five now. It's so funny to see his big smile when he slaps our hand and we praise him for it. Jacob can hold onto furniture by himself as well, but when we let go of him, he will only stay for a few moments before he starts to lean and fall.
