Weekend Trip to Newport

We made reservations to stay one night in Newport, Oregon the weekend after Labor Day.  It was about two hours south from home and it ended up being pretty chilly and overcast there.  We left on Saturday morning and headed to the aquarium in Newport first.

                             

The aquarium was pretty cool.  We were able to see them feed the sea lions, walk thru the shark tank, and they had a cool kids play area where the kids could practice play fishing. =)
We headed to the hotel room afterwards and walked down to the cold beach.

The room was so cool.  We stayed at Starfish Point and they had sort of townhomes to rent.  The boys slept in a room downstairs and Shaun and I had a loft upstairs with a huge jet tub.  It was a nice little getaway.  Jacob keeps talking about the "next time we stay there."
