Brentley is 8 Months Old
Brentley is doing so well! He is jibber-jabbing and he really gets around. He has been crawling a lot and still in on his tummy doing the low crawl, but very close to figuring out how to lift up his middle. I started feeding him on a regular basis every evening. At first he started just eating 2 oz. or so, but then I increased the amount and now he's at 5-6 oz. per meal. He is eating just regular organic 1 and 2 baby food and is not very picky at all. He will pretty much eat whatever I feed him. He likes to use his hand to keep the food from falling out of his mouth so feeding him gets kind of messy. He likes to make raspberry sounds with his mouth while he's eating and spray you. Not very cool.
He is sleeping great and starting to just wake up mid way through the night to eat and then early morning too around 4-6am. He has learned to cry when Jacob gets close to him because I'm constantly telling Jacob to be gentle and now Brentley is a little weary of him. They get along very well still though and Jacob is still learning how to behave around his baby brother.
Brentley is growing steadily and is wearing 9 month outfits, and 12-18 month pajamas since he is so tall. The other one pieces I had for him do not fit anymore. I cannot get him to fit into any of the baby shoes I had for Jacob either. His feet are a lot bigger than Jacob's were at his age, I think. Plus, I have been trying to keep him barefoot so he learns his balance a little more. He will stand in his jumper unassisted for long periods of time and whenever I hold onto his hands, he will try to get up and walk. He's a strong one.
Very lucky to have such a happy baby too. He's pretty easy going for the most part. He really doesn't cry much unless he's super hungry, over-tired, or in need of some attention or wanting to be taken out of one of his entertainers. We started him in the walker too and he picked it up and figured it out almost instantly. I want to limit him in it though, since I think it was one of the culprits as to why Jacob walked so late. He is also a tough little man. Whenever he does get hurt, it's one loud scream and then it's over. He gets over it very quickly. And man, can he scream! Pierces the ears and makes you cringe! I hope he doesn't use it as a weapon against me later on. I might bow to his every whim!
