4 Months 3 Weeks

Jacob and I went to Las Vegas for a week while Shaun was gone. I bought him a walker the second day we were there and by the day we left, he went from not being able to reach the floor, to standing up without a problem. He is getting taller everyday and we can really see it. Some new things have happened in the past two weeks, too. Jacob has started teething...and along with teething comes a huge amount of drool! He will lick his gums and squeal in pain. I found some baby orajel and teething tablets that seem to work. He doesn't really like chewing on the frozen teething rings just yet, but he does put almost the whole pacifier in his mouth trying to chew on the outside of it. That's funny to watch. He is also trying all kinds of new foods. It cracks me up that as soon as I put a new food in his mouth he starts to cringe and gag, but after a minute of that, he's open to just eating it without complaint. So far he is eating Sweet Potatoes, Squash, Green Beans and Bananas. I am also giving him a bottle every once in a while with rice cereal added to the milk. He's not really gaining a lot of weight that I can see, but he is getting longer.

In the past two weeks he has also found two things...his feet! He will sometimes cry and will only stop if we unzip his sleeper and let his legs free so he can play with his feet. What a wiggle worm he has become! So funny!Shaun came home very jet lagged and Jacob didn't mind napping with him one bit. They napped and they napped and they napped.Things are going great though and we are all staying healthy. Here is Jacob hanging out on our bed while I went downstairs to get breakfast. Notice how Charlee stayed right with him to keep him company. I am noticing a lot of these pictures are taken on my bed and if you are wondering why, it's because the heater in our house sucks and it is always warmer upstairs-always. So, to keep costs down, Jacob and I spend the majority of our days in our bedroom.
