My mom, Sharon, got here on Tuesday night. We have spent some time together shopping and hanging out at the house. Jacob was acting like he had a cold so we took him to the pediatrician on Thursday afternoon and they said he has a viral respiratory infection probably caused just from the dry air in the house from the forced air heater we have. We bought some saline drops for him and turned on a humidifier in the house. He is breathing a lot better now and I'm sure he will get over the cold soon. When they weighed him they said he was 7 lbs. 6 oz. That means from Friday to Thursday he gained over a pound! So, at least he is eating the way he should!
Shaun's family drove in from Vegas on Friday night. We had a great time while they were here. On Friday night, we ordered pizza and watched the movie "Land of the Lost". Then yesterday, they came over in the afternoon and we carved pumpkins, made caramel apples, baked the pumpkin seeds, ate homemade chili, and the kids went trick or treating in our neighborhood. We had a great time together. Here are some pictures from their visit. My mom is here until Thursday and will be able to go with us to Jacob's two week appointment with the pediatrician on Monday morning.
